Wild Rice Casserole

This is my Grandmother's recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups wild rice
4 slices bacon
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup cream or 1/2 cup milk
1 cup carrot, shredded
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1. Rinse and Cook Wild Rice - 3 Cups salted boiling water for 30 minutes.
2. Brown and Chop Bacon.
3. Mix all ingredients together.
4. Put in a buttered casserole dish.
5. Dot with butter.
6. Bake at 375 for 1 hour.
