This is a good way to change up Wild Rice! Ingredients:
8 ounces sausage |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup chopped celery |
4 ounces wild rice mix (uncle ben's including the seasoning packet) |
1 cup chopped fresh spinach |
3/4 teaspoon dried sage (omit if using seasoned sausage) |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Prepare rice according to package directions. 3. Brown sausage and remove from pan. 4. Saute onions and celery until tender. 5. Combine all ingredients except the pecans. 6. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. 7. Sprinkle the casserole with the chopped pecans. 8. Refrigerate until ready to cook 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
