WILD RICE AND GRAPE SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Staley Estate in Wills Point, Texas in 1982.
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked rice
1 cup seedless green grapes halved
1 small can water chestnuts sliced
1/2 cup celery chopped medium fine
1 big bunch green onions chopped medium fine
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 cup mayonnaise
Directions:
1. Stir vegetables and mayonnaise into rice then stir grapes in gently.
2. If too thick then with a little mix then taste for seasoning.
3. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
