Ingredients:
3 tablespoon(s) butter
2 long celery stalks, thinly sliced
8 cup(s) dried bread cubes
1/4 cup(s) dry white wine
1/2 cup(s) heavy cream
1 tablespoon(s) minced fresh marjoram
1/4 cup(s) minced fresh parsley
2 tablespoon(s) minced fresh sage
2 tablespoon(s) minced fresh thyme
2 large onions, diced
salt and freshly ground pepper
1 cup(s) turkey or chicken broth
1 pound(s) wild mushrooms, thinly sliced
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add celery and onions: saute until softened. Add mushrooms; saute until liquid almost evaporates, about 5-8 minutes. Stir in the thyme, marjoram and sage; saute for 2 minutes. Pour in wine and cook until reduced by half. Remove form heat and cool to room temperature. Place bread cubes and cooled vegetables in large bowl and mix well. Beat together broth, cream and salt and pepper to taste. Slowly add to ingredients in bowl, making sure to coat everything well.
2. Turn stuffing into buttered shallow baking dish. Cover dish with foil and bake 30-40 minutes until warm in center. Add more broth if moister stuffing is desired. Remove foil and bake for 5-10 minutes longer or until top is lightly browned.
