This recipe goes with Marshmallow Flower Salad with Wild Bay Dressing Ingredients:
1 cup red wine vinegar |
15 wax-myrtle leaves |
6 red bay leaves |
1 3/4 cups extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 cup dijon mustard |
1/4 cup mayonnaise |
Directions:
1. Bring vinegar to a boil; add the wax-myrtle and red bay leaves. Simer 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture is reduced by half. Remove from heat and cool. Strain mixture, discarding solids. 2. In a blender or food processor, process vinegar mixture with remaining ingredients. Chill. 3. Note: Nine bay leaves may be substituted for 15 wax-myrtle leaves and six red bay leaves. |
