Whuebel And Chefmeows Marinated Brussel Sprouts |

This recipe is my recipe perfected by Bill (Whuebl). It is amazing. Hope you enjoy as much as we do. Thanks Bill. Ingredients:
1/3 cup salad oil |
2 tablespons brown sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
1/2 large onion thinly sliced |
1/2 cup white wine |
1/2 cup red wine vinegar |
2 cloves garlic crushed |
1/2 lemon sliced and squeezed or 3 tablespoons chopped dill pickle |
2 pounds brussels sprouts trimmed and cut in half |
3 tablespoons chopped dill pickle |
Directions:
1. Combine wine, vinegar, sugar and garlic in heavy sauce pan and bring to boil then add sprouts. 2. Reduce heat then over and simmer 10 minutes. 3. Transfer sprouts and liquid to serving bowl. 4. Add lemon and lemon squeezings or dill pickle - use either dill pickles or lemon but not both. 5. Put in refrigerator overnight to allow flavors to blend and be absorbed. 6. Serve at room temperature. 7. Note: This recipe was developed as a result of the combined efforts of chefmeow and whuebl. |
