Wholesome Peanut Butter Cookies |

These peanut butter cookies are made with whole wheat flour and honey and are very chewy! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup honey |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (all-purpose may be substituted) |
3/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2-3/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional) |
1/2-3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips (optional) |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, honey, egg, vanilla. 2. Sift together dry ingredients and then blend into creamed mixture. 3. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips, if desired. 4. Spoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly brown; do not overbake. 6. Cool slightly; remove and place on rack to cool. |
