Wholemeal Floury Baps(Rolls) Recipe for the Bread Maker |

These bread rolls are divine. They are perfect for a burger or with a hearty bowl of soup. Just Yummy Ingredients:
50 g melted butter or 50 g margarine |
260 ml warm water |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
225 g wholemeal bread flour |
50 g plain white flour |
175 g strong white bread flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast |
4 teaspoons wheat gluten (optional) |
Directions:
1. Add the ingredients in the order recommended by the manufacturer and use the dough setting, i use a Cookwork bread maker and this is the correct order for it. 2. Cut into 8 equal pieces. 3. To create the bap shapes, on a floured surface keep pulling from the. 4. outer edges to the centre and rotating until it is round, dust with flour all over and place on a floured baking sheet. 5. Dust with flour and cover with lightly oiled cling film. 6. Rise for 30 minutes in a warm place. 7. Remove cling film and dust again with flour – the flour helps prevent the outer surface from burning so be liberal with it. 8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200c for 18 minutes. 9. Remove and allow to cool. 10. Preperation time includes the time in the bread maker. |
