Wholehearted Wholemeal Cake

A mellow, hearty basic cake.
Ingredients:
250 g whole wheat flour
120 g butter
150 g brown sugar
3 eggs (separate)
125 ml milk
1 dash salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
50 g raisins
Directions:
1. Separate eggs and beat egg whites until firm.
2. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
3. Add egg yolks and continue mixing.
4. Mix flour and baking powder.
5. Add flour/baking powder mixture, cinnamon and milk alternately to dough.
6. Incorporate beaten egg whites.
7. Stir in raisins.
8. Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.
