A great waffle recipe. Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp salt |
2 eggs |
2 cups buttermilk |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, soda and salt; set aside. Combine egg yolks, buttermilk, and butter, add to flour mixture, stirring briskly until blended. 2. Beat egg whites (at room temp) until stiff peaks form; carefully fold into batter. Bake in preheated oiled waffle iron. Yield: 3 8 inch waffles. |
