This is a recipe that I found on Molasses.ca, and they are great waffles!!
Ingredients:
3 eggs, separated
3 tablespoons molasses
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup shortening, melted
1 cup enriched flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup unsifted whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Mix together egg yolks, molasses, milk, shortening. Stir into dry ingredients. Beat egg whites stiff, but not dry. Fold gently into batter.
2. Bake in hot waffle irons.
