                    Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                2 cups whole wheat flour  |  
                                                1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar  |  
                                                1 teaspoon baking powder  |  
                                                1 teaspoon baking soda  |  
                                                3/4 teaspoon salt  |  
                                                1 egg, beaten  |  
                                                1 1/2 cups buttermilk  |  
                                                1/2 cup raisins  |  
                                                1/2 cup chopped pecans  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Combine first 5 ingredients; stir well. Add egg and buttermilk; mix well. Stir in raisins and pecans. Spoon into a greased and floured 8- x 4- x 3- inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
