This is a delicious bread. It is very healthy as it has a little whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and wheat germ. Great toasted. It calls for regular yeast. Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups water |
3 tablespoons soft butter |
1 egg (beaten) |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup rolled oats |
1/3 cup wheat germ |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
3 cups bread flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast |
1 cup water |
2 tablespoons soft butter |
1 egg (beaten) |
2 tablespoons sugar |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup rolled oats |
1/4 cup wheat germ |
3/4 cup whole wheat flour |
2 cups bread flour |
2 teaspoons yeast |
Directions:
1. Add the ingredients to your bread machine in order of manufacturers suggestions. 2. Put on basic cycle; and light crust. 3. After it starts kneading, look at it to see if you need to add a tad or two more water; you want it just right. |
