Whole Wheat Oatmeal Bread

I adapted this recipe from a Nitty Gritty breadmaker cookbook,can't remember the author. Nice, dense loaf of bread, very moist. This doesn't raise as much as other loafs.
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups water
3 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup bread flour
3 tablespoons raw sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt
2/3 cup regular oatmeal (not quick-cooking or instant)
1/3 cup ground flax seeds
3 teaspoons yeast
Directions:
1. Place Ingredients in the order of your breadmaker's instructions into the pan.
2. Select dough cycle.
3. Afte dough cycle has completed, set on basic cycle and begin.
4. I have learned this makes the bread rise better.
