These freeze well. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 cup milk |
1 egg, beaten |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons melted shortening |
4 tablespoons baking powder |
Directions:
1. Sift flour; add baking powder, salt, sugar, and wheat flour. 2. Combine egg, milk, and shortening. 3. Pour into flour, stirring to moisten. 4. Do not beat. 5. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. 6. Bake for 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. |
