Great healthy way to serve mac-n-cheese. Makes 4- 1 1/2 cup servings. Ingredients:
1/2 lb whole wheat pasta |
1 c skim milk |
4 oz low fat cream cheese |
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter |
1/2 tsp pepper |
1 1/2 c low fat cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees and cook pasta on stove top, drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking. Combine milk, cream cheese, butter and pepper in sauce pan and melt and mix together, and take off heat. 2. Mix cheddar cheese with pasta and then mix pasta in sauce pan. Stir well and put in oven safe dish and bake for 30 minutes. Top should be browned. |
