Baking powder biscuits that can alternate for cheese biscuits by adding one cup of shredded chedder cheese. Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoons salt |
2 tablespoons sugar |
3/4 cup milk |
1/3 cup oil |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. 2. Add wet ingredients. 3. Knead dough briefly until less sticky. 4. Roll out to 3/4 thick on lightly floured surface. 5. Cut out with mouth of a glass, a biscuit cutter or into squares with a knife. 6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 7. Put in preheated 425 F oven for 15-20. 8. Time may vary according to oven. |
