Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes - Low Fat |

For this recipe I modified a pancake recipe to make it low fat/fat free, but you can add nuts if you like, which I did for a few of the pancakes. I think it would also taste good with some cinnamon. My guests loved them. Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup skim milk |
1 egg |
2 tablespoons applesauce |
2 bananas, preferably overripe and mashed |
nuts (optional) or raisins (optional) |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. 2. Combine wet ingredients. 3. Whisk in dry ingredients. 4. Using a 1/4 cup measure drop batter onto a hot frying pan. 5. When pancakes begin to bubble flip them. 6. Finished when golden on both sides. |
