Whole Wheat Apple Pecan Rolls |

Easy to make, no fuss no muss! Doubles easily to feed a crowd! Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour |
2 cups white flour |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/4 cup sugar |
2 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
1/4 cup honey |
1/2 cup warm water |
2 (1/4 ounce) packages yeast |
1/2 cup finely chopped apple |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Blend together both of the flours and set aside. 2. Heat milk but do not boil. Stir in sugar, salt, butter and honey. Remove from heat and cool until lukewarm. 3. Pour warm water into a large mixing bowl. Stir in yeast. Add lukewarm milk mixture. Stir in flours. 4. Cover the dough with a clean dish towel and keep in a warm place to rise until nearly doubled in size. 5. Stir batter, mix in apple and pecan bits. 6. Grease a large 18 muffin cup pan. 7. Bake at 400 F for 18-20 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack. |
