This is my variation of the Grandma's Pancakes recipe from the Beavers Best cookbook from Beavercreek, OH. I'm always looking to cut back a bit on sugar and make some of my favorite meals a little healthier, like adding whole grain to this one. Read more . These pancakes still taste like pancakes (like bisquick kind of) with a real slight whole grain/nutty flavor that's not too overpowering. Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour |
1 tbsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 tbsp sugar |
1 tbsp splenda |
1 egg |
1 tbsp oil |
3/4+ cup milk to desired thickness |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except milk together. 2. Add milk to desired consistency. 3. Cook on hot griddle or frying pan until golden brown. |
