Whole Grain Cranberry Walnut Muffins |

This tasty , sweet, tangy nutty muffin is our favorite Sunday morning treat. My husband is the one who makes these. Sunday mornings are just nicer when I can smell these baking all the way up the stairs. Ingredients:
1 1/4 c. whole grain flour (we prefer prairie gold) |
3/4 c. malt-o-meal hot wheat cereal (dry) |
1/2 c. honey |
3/4 c. milk |
2 t. veg. oil |
1 egg |
1 t. baking powder |
1/2 t. salt |
1 t. vanilla |
3/4 c. chopped walnuts |
3/4 c. chopped cranberries |
1 t. chinese five spice powder |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2. In a large bowl combine all ingredients 3. Stir till moistened 4. Fill greased muffin tins 3/4 full 5. Bake 18 to 20 min. till done |
