Whole Grain Berry Biscuits |

Original recipe yielded 6 standard sized biscuits, but I made 12 mini-biscuits instead. Ingredients:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
1/4 cup rolled oats |
2 tablespoons |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon organic salt |
1/3 cup |
1/4 cup water |
3 tablespoons canola oil |
1/3 cup frozen blueberries |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet; set aside. In a medium bowl combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, bran cereal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 2. In a small bowl combine milk, water, and oil. Stir milk mixture into the flour mixture until just combined. Gently stir in blueberries. 3. Spoon mixture into 6 mounds (about 1/3 cup each) onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. If desired, serve with your favorite fruit jam. Makes 6 biscuits. |
