From Cotton Country , Monroe, LA, is this alternative recipe for a seafood cocktail sauce. There are some of us, including myself, who must carefully watch their consumption of tomatoes due to their high potassium content. I have substituted Dijon for Creole mustard as not sure how available everywhere. Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise |
1/2 cup durkee's sauce |
2 tablespoons dijon mustard |
2 teaspoons onions, grated |
3 tablespoons horseradish |
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 lemon, juice of |
tabasco sauce, as required |
salt & pepper, as required |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. 2. This keeps well in the refrigerator. |
