This is from an old Pillsbury cookbook that is falling apart. I don't have the front cover and part of the pages are torn. So, I'm going to share these before the book is completely destroyed. This one sounds really good, because I don't necessarily like the ones with sugar added. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1/2 cup pillsbury's best |
1 cup milk |
2 tsp baking powder |
1 heaping cup white cornmeal |
2 tbs melted butter |
1 tsp salt |
1/2 cup boiling water |
Directions:
1. Beat the eggs, add milk, set aside. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together, set aside. Pour the boiling water over the cornmeal and let it cool, then add the flour mixture, then add egg mixture. Lastly add the butter. Bake in a hot oven for 25 minutes. |
