White Chocolate Pie With Fresh Strawberries |

An easy, scrumptious pie topped with fresh strawberries! So wonderful for spring and summer. Found the recipe in Bon Appetit, and I adjusted it. Ingredients:
favorite cooked pie shell |
1-1/2 cups whipping cream |
8 ounces white chocolate, chopped (such as lindt or baker's) |
12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature |
3 tablespoons sugar |
five teaspoons vanilla |
fresh lightly sweetend strawberries |
Directions:
1. In heavy saucepan, bring 1/2 cup whipping cream to a boil 2. Remove from heat 3. Add chopped white chocolate 4. Stir until melted and smooth 5. Cool mixture to room temperature 6. With electric mixer, in large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth 7. Gradually add white chocolate mixture to cream cheese mixture 8. Beat until well blended 9. In medium bowl, beat remaining 3/4 cup whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until medium firm peaks form 10. Fold into cream cheese mixture in 2 additions 11. Place filling in prepared crust 12. Chill at least 2 hours 13. To serve: top with fresh lightly sweetened strawberries |
