These cookies are spectacular with white chocolate, 3 TABLESPOONS FRESH ORANGE PEEL, and one pound pure butter! Melt in your mouth goodness! Holiday delights, and soothing too. :) Ingredients:
4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature |
1 cup white sugar |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
2 eggs |
3 tablespoons grated orange peel (zest) fresh, of course |
4 cups white chocolate morsels |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt 2. In large bowl, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars until creamy 3. In a small bowl beat together the eggs and grated orange peel 4. Add to the butter/sugar mixture 5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture, one cup at a time, thoroughly combining after each addition 6. Stir in the white chocolate morsels 7. Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart on the baking sheet 8. Bake for 10 or 12 minutes 9. Cool on wire rack 10. NOTE: You can make smaller cookies or larger cookies. I find it quick and easy, to use an ice cream scoop, 1-3/4 inch diameter scoop with an easy trigger release. *Make sure the trigger release is easy*. Some scoops are hard to release. 11. THESE ARE SO DELICIOUS! |
