This is my children's favorite chocolate chip cookie. I can deffinately say we will never buy chocolate chip cookies again. This was so simple and easy to make, just so you know I subsituted regular chocolate chips for the white and vanilla extract for the almond ( I have an allergy), I also admitted the pecans. but my kids never knew the difference. ;). Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/2 cup shortening |
3/4 cup packed brown sugar |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon almond extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
6 (1 ounce) white chocolate baking squares, coarsely chopped |
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. 1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and extract. Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the white chocolate and pecans. 2. 2. Drop by the rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. |
