We've changed up the traditional brownie recipe by using white chocolate instead of dark and adding a little cinnamon and chopped pecans. It's a new taste sensation. Ingredients:
6 ounces white chocolate, chopped |
1/3 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped, toasted (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F Gease and line an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, overlapping 2 sides for easy removal. 2. Melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until combined. Cool. 3. Beat eggs, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl. Add cooled chocolate mixture. Mix until blended. 4. Combine next 4 ingredients and stir into batter. Stir in pecans. 5. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven 25-30 minutes, or until firm on the outside but moist inside. 6. Cool in pan. Loosen brownies from sides of pan and lift out using overhanging parchment paper as handles. Cut into squares. 7. TIP: Add 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate with the pecans. |
