I asked for this recipe after eating way to much of it at one sitting. A delicious chili on a cold day! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Ingredients:
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1/2 cubes |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans great northern beans, rinsed & drained |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can low sodium chicken broth |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 cup nonfat sour cream |
1/2 cup whipping cream (i use heavy cream sub) |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, saute ckicken, onion, & garlic powder in oil until slightly browned & no longer pink. 2. Add beans, broth, chilies, & seasonings after dumping chicken in the crockpot. 3. Cook for 8 hours on low heat. 4. Add sour cream & whipping cream when finished cooking. 5. Enjoy! |
