This turned out ALOT better than I thought it would. I loved the combination of beans! We had a bit left over so we added in some sour cream and turned it into a dip with chips! It was SO good!!! Ingredients:
1 19 oz can cannellini beans, drained |
1 15.5 oz can black eyed peas, drained |
1 15 oz can garbonzo beans, drained |
1 med onion, chopped |
1 med red bell pepper, chopped |
1 tblsp fresh minced garlic |
1 med green bell pepper, chopped |
1 med yellow bell pepper, chopped |
2 tsp grund cumin |
2 tsp oregano |
1/2 tsp chili powder |
1 tblsp chicken broth |
1 lb ground turkey, 99% lean |
monterey jack cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Brown turkey in skillet over med heat. 2. Combine turkey with beans, onion, peppers, broth and seasoning in slow cooker. 3. Cook on low for 4 hours. 4. Ladle chili into bowls, sprinkle with cheese and serve. 5. Enjoy! |
