A tangy chutney made with apples, onions & white balsamic vinegar. Ingredients:
2 cooking apples, cored & chopped |
2 onions, peeled & very finely chopped |
2 ounces dried apricots |
1 ounce raisins |
5 ounces sugar |
1 cup white balsamic vinegar |
fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Place the apples, onions, apricots, raisins, sugar, vinegar and black pepper in a saucepan. 2. Bring to the boil and then simmer gently for 30 minutes until the mixture has reduced, thickened slightly and turned a golden colour. 3. Cool slightly and transfer into 2 sterilized jars. Seal and store in a cool cupboard. |
