Whiskey Sauce for Bread Pudding |

Knock your socks off good! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1/3 cup bourbon, and additional if you wish |
Directions:
1. Cream the butter and sugar. 2. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time. 3. Transfer to the top of a double boiler set over steaming water. 4. Stir in about 1/3 cup bourbon whiskey. 5. Cook the sauce, stirring until it is thickened slightly. 6. Serve warm sauce over warm bread pudding. |
