A great whiskey-based marinade for flank steak or chicken. If you want some heat to this, add some hot chili powder to taste. Ingredients:
1/4 cup canola oil |
4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed |
1/2 cup whiskey (such as jack daniel's®) |
1/2 cup orange juice |
1/2 cup lime juice |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce |
Directions:
1. To make the marinade, whisk together the canola oil, garlic, whiskey, orange juice, lime juice, cumin, and soy sauce. 2. To use the marinade, pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add up to two pounds of meat, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour, preferably overnight. |
