Ingredients:
1 cup(s) brown sugar |
10 tablespoon(s) butter |
1 tablespoon(s) cinnamon |
1 cup(s) cran-raisins |
7 eggs |
4 loaf(s) french bread |
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice |
4 1/2 cup(s) milk |
1/2 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
1 cup(s) pecans |
1/4 cup(s) raw sugar |
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 cup(s) sugar |
2 tablespoon(s) vanilla |
whipped cream & syrup, optional |
Directions:
1. Angle-slice French Bread and llightly toast. Arrange in deep baking pan. Add cran-raisins, distributing them throughout. Mix dry ingredients well, until cinnamon is fully mixed. Add liquid ingredients and pour over top of bread. Allow to stand at least one hour or overnight. Add butter and pecans to top, then sprinkle with the raw sugar. Bake one hour at 300 degrees. Cool a bit an serve with fresh fruit and whipped cream. |
