Easy but good cookies. These were one of my Mother's favorites. We had them every Christmas. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup powdered sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 cup oatmeal |
chocolate decorating candy sprinkles (chocolate shot) |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. 2. Add vanilla. 3. Add flour mixing thoroughly. 4. Blend in rolled oats. 5. Dough will be stiff. 6. Shape into rolls 1 1/2 inches in diameter. 7. Roll in chocolate shot. 8. Slice 1/4 inch thick (a cheese slicer works well). 9. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. 10. Bake 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. |
