Ingredients:
8 medium turnips |
4 large eggs, lightly beaten |
2 cups soft breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Peel turnips; cut into 1-inch cubes. 2. Arrange turnips in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 25 minutes or until tender. 3. Mash turnips with a potato masher; stir in eggs and remaining ingredients. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish. 4. Bake mixture at 375° for 1 hour. |
