This is an incredible pound cake. I obtained this recipe from a coworker. She has brought this to the office several times and everyone devours it. Enjoy
Ingredients:
3 cups cake flour sifted twice
3 cups sugar
6 eggs at room temperature
2 sticks butter at room temperature
1/2 pint whipping cream do not whip
2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly until almost white.
2. Add eggs one at a time beating thoroughly after each.
3. Alternately add flour and whipping cream then add vanilla.
4. Flour and grease tube pan using solid shortening and cake flour.
5. Pour batter in pan then place in cold oven.
6. Turn oven to 325 and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
