Don't let this recipe fool you. It is light and fluffy and not overly sweet. Awesome with Preacher's Chocolate Cake! Cooking/Prep time does not include cooling time. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons flour |
2/3 cup milk |
1/2 cup crisco |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup granulated sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cook milk and flour until thick and let cool (be sure to have paste cool completely).
2. Beat shortening and butter 4 minutes till light and fluffy.
3. Add sugar, beat another 4 minutes.
4. Add cold paste and vanilla, beat another 4 minutes.
5. Beating makes this frosting.
