From a older cookbook called Favorite Brand Name Cookbook . This makes a very good tender pork chop. I really prefer to cook these in my crockpot for about 4 hours, the meat just falls off the bone. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons margarine |
4 (1 1/2 lb) center-cut pork loin chops |
1 cup green pepper, chopped |
1 cup onion, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup karo light corn syrup or 1/2 cup dark corn syrup |
3/4 teaspoon chili powder |
Directions:
1. In medium skillet melt margarine over medium heat. 2. Add pork chops; cook until brown on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove chops from skillet. 3. Add peppers and onion; cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir tomato sauce, corn syrup and chili powder into skillet; add chops. 4. Simmer, uncovered, about 30 minutes or until pork chops are tender. If desired, serve over cooked noodles or rice. |
