One of my family's favorite dishes on a cold winter day or when we are in a hurry during the summer. It's made in one pot, so there's not much cleanup. Sometimes topped with biscuits. Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef |
2 cans tomato soup |
2 cans pinto beans |
2 cups frozen corn |
1/4 lb. cheese, (american processed, or cheddar) |
2 tbls chili powder |
serve with texas pete hot sauce |
Directions:
1. In large pot, brown the ground beef and drain. 2. Place a small amount of water into the pot, add the cheese and melt it. (I use about 1/4 cup of water.) 3. When the cheese is mostly melted, add the other ingredients and heat until bubbly hot, stirring occasionally. 4. If you don't want it quite so spicy, cut down on the amount of chili powder. 5. Serve with your favorite hot sauce. |
