This recipe was given to me years ago, it tastes just like Wendy's Chili. Everytime I share this recipe, I get comments about how much it tastes just like Wendy's but possibly better. Ingredients:
2 pounds of lean ground beef browned |
1 29oz can tomatoe sauce |
1 29oz can kidney beans with juice |
1 29oz can pinto beans with juice |
1 cup diced onion |
1 can green chilies chopped |
1/4 cup diced celery |
3 large tomatoes chopped |
2 teaspoons cumin |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
1 & 1/2 teaspoons pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups water |
garlic powder to taste |
1 tablespoon vinegar (added at the end of cooking time) |
Directions:
1. Simmer at least 2-3 hours 2. If you want it alittle thicker I add some instant pototoe flakes at the end of cooking, also makes it look more like chili that you get in a restaurant |
