This recipe was given to me years ago, it tastes just like Wendy's Chili. Everytime I share this recipe, I get comments about how much it tastes just like Wendy's but possibly better.
Ingredients:
2 pounds of lean ground beef browned
1 29oz can tomatoe sauce
1 29oz can kidney beans with juice
1 29oz can pinto beans with juice
1 cup diced onion
1 can green chilies chopped
1/4 cup diced celery
3 large tomatoes chopped
2 teaspoons cumin
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 & 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
garlic powder to taste
1 tablespoon vinegar (added at the end of cooking time)
Directions:
1. Simmer at least 2-3 hours
2. If you want it alittle thicker I add some instant pototoe flakes at the end of cooking, also makes it look more like chili that you get in a restaurant
