I found this recipe in the May/June 2008 Weight Watchers Magazine and wanted to try it. 3 cookies = 3 points. They always do a recipe makeover and those are usually the best! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
3/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed |
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 cup nonfat sour cream |
1 large egg |
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats (not instant) |
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Spray 2 large baking sheets with nonstick spray. 3. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and set aside. 4. Beat the brown sugar, butter and vanilla in a large bowl until blended. 5. Beat in the sour cream and egg. 6. Add the flour mixture and beat until blended, about 1 minute. 7. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips. 8. Spoon the dough onto the baking sheets about 1 inch apart making a total of 36 cookies. 9. Dip the bottom of a glass in flour and press the floured glass against each mound to make a 2 1/2 inch round cookie. 10. Bake until light browned, about 12 minutes. 11. Transfer to racks to cool. |
