If you love bleu cheese because it bites back, you'll love this easy delicious dip. When I made it I didn't have the pimento spread, but it still tasted great. I didn't bother freezing or refrigerating until firm because I wanted to eat it. I mixed the Worcestershire sauce with the rest of the ingredients instead of spreading on top. I found this recipe in Gooseberry Patch Christmas from Susan Smith in Walnutport, PA. Susan says nobody knows where the name came from, but a name isn't necessary for something so tasty. Cooking time excludes chilling time. Ingredients:
4 ounces blue cheese |
3 ounces cream cheese |
2 tablespoons onions (grated or chopped) |
5 ounces pimentos, spread or 5 ounces pimentos, dip |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Mash blue cheese and cream cheese with fork. 2. Add onion and mix thoroughly. 3. Form a small cake. 4. Put in freezer or refrigerator until firm. 5. Mix pimento spread together with Worcestershire sauce and spread over blue cheese mixture. |
