These baked appetizers are one of a kind. You'll notice the subtle crunch of water chestnuts, the creamy cheese and a twang from the stuffed olives. Try it and see if your friends and family enjoy them. I'm estimating 4 bites per person, adjust your intake accordingly Ingredients:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, softened |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup chopped stuffed olives |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 egg |
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped |
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, beat the cheese and butter on low speed until blended. Add the flour, olives and cayenne; mix well. Beat in the egg and water chestnuts until combined. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 400' for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Serve warm. |
