This is a wonderful punch to make during the holidays. It is so fragrant it will make everyone in the home come running for a glass! It is not only a great smelling beverage, but it also looks so nice in a punch bowl. Perfect for holiday dinners or just sitting around a cozy fire. Ingredients:
2 oranges |
8 whole cloves |
6 cups apple juice |
1 cinnamon stick |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 cup honey |
3 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 1/4 cups pineapple juice |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Stud the whole oranges with cloves, and bake for 30 minutes. Be sure to put them on a lined baking sheet. 3. In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in nutmeg, honey, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. 4. Serve hot in punch bowl with the 2 clove-studded baked oranges floating on top. |
