This is about as easy as easy gets. It's also very good. My husband asks me to make it all the time during Steeler season, but I think it is especially nice for Christmas, because of the colors of the peppers. I use Oliverio Italian Style Peppers in sauce, which is a brand in our area, but any brand of Italian peppers in sauce will work. Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened |
1 pint italian pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Empty peppers in sauce into a medium sized bowl. Cut any large peppers into bite size pieces. 3. Spread softened cream cheese into the bottom of a 9 inch glass pie plate. Top with the peppers in sauce, making sure that the cream cheese is not exposed. 4. Bake for 25 minutes. 5. Serve warm with crackers. |
