This is another great recipe that I found in our local paper, in the Balance section - Wake up to a sunny breakfast on a cold winter morning of baked grapefruit, oranges, and pineapple chunks, topped with brown sugar. This also can be served as as a healthy dessert. Ingredients:
2 grapefruits, sectioned |
2 oranges, sectioned |
1 cup fresh pineapple chunk |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
2 tablespoons butter, softened |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, combine grapefruit, oranges, and pineapple, Transfer to a 4-cup broiler-safe casserole dish. 2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and butter; sprinkle over fruit. 3. Broil about 4 inches from heat for 5-6 minutes until sugar is bubbly and fruit is warmed. Serve warm. |
