Warm Blue Cheese and Pear Salad |

Blue cheese and pear always make a pleasing flavor combination. Ingredients:
1/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon beef-flavored bouillon granules |
2 cups finely shredded red cabbage |
1 cup chopped peeled pear (about 1/2 pound) |
4 teaspoons crumbled blue cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine water, sugar, vinegar, and bouillon granules in a large skillet over high heat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute. Add cabbage to pan, and cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. 2. Add chopped pear, and sauté 2 minutes or until pear is crisp-tender; remove from heat. Sprinkle salad with crumbled blue cheese, and serve immediately. 3. carbo rating: 10 |
