From a thin thighs book by karen burke. A simple way to bake apples, we don't really have flavoured cola's here so I used plain coke zero and added a pinch vanilla essence too, yum! Ingredients:
2 red apples, cored & cut in half |
1 (375 ml) can flavoured diet cola (cherry or strawberry suggested) |
1 pinch splenda sugar substitute or 1 pinch equal sugar substitute |
1 pinch cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Place the apple in a baking dish, skin side down and pour the cola over. 2. Sprinkle with sweetener & cinnamon. 3. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180.C for 25-30 minutes. |
