Wanda's World Famous Pecan Pie |

This recipe is often requested by friends and family members. My mom gave them as gifts to all the neighbors. After they moved away, the new owners of my childhood home called to find out the recipe. It seems the neighbors told her that she must carry on the tradition of the pies! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, melted |
3 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup karo syrup |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
3 cups pecan halves |
2 (9 inch) pie crusts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°. 2. Beat eggs. 3. Add sugar, corn syrup, butter & vanilla and beat on medium speed with mixer. 4. Fold in pecans until all are coated with goo. 5. Pour into pie shells. 6. Bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. 7. Wanda does not recommend deep dish pie shells for this recipe. |
